Meet our New Members (2025-2026)

Kim, originally from Charleston, SC lives with her husband, Bill, in River Hills. She is an early bird workout girl, choosing 5am to run and work out at the YMCA! In addition, she enjoys reading and cooking and intends to sharpen her pickleball skills in the fall!

Linda and her husband, Frank, live in River Hills from November to May and in Buffalo, NY from June to October. They have a blended family of 6 children and 8 grands. Linda loves being active, anything creative/crafty and remodeling/decorating.

Sue and her husband, Chris, have called River Hills home for 31 years. They have 3 grown children (Ohio, Charlotte & London). Sue is a newly retired French teacher who is looking to make new connections with common interests. She enjoys travel, reading and pickleball.

Sandy has been in the River Hills community for approximately 2 years. She is very active with the CCLW, heading up the “tweener” social group and supporting mission work. She is the proud mom of one daughter, a rising senior at Clemson. She likes biking, golf, and anything social!

Karen is new relocated from Radford, Virginia. She moved in just as we were kicking off the start of RHWC ‘25-’26! She is married to Randy. Their daughter, son-in-law and grandson live in Charlotte. She is delighted to have time with her grandson, making memories as they go. She’s looking forward to connecting with other women in the community, building friendships and getting involved in the fun! She loves to be on the lake, to shop, travel to new places and sharing a glass of wine with girlfriends. She’s going to fit right in!

Nancy lives in our community with her husband, Tim and their Labradoodle, Daisy. She was born in California but grew up in Ohio, Go Buckeyes!! She is joining us to make additional friends and to have fun. She enjoys traveling, learning new card games, and helping people!

Deb has been living in River Hills area for 30 years. She lived in California and New Jersey prior to settling here. She lives with her husband, Tom. They have 5 grandchildren. As a retiree, she is hoping to meet new friends. She enjoys cards, movies and cooking .

Jan and her husband, Larry, have been in the area for 7 years. They spent many years fin New York and Virginia before moving here. Jan loves to travel, ski and golf. She is hoping to expand her circle of friends as she participates in our activities!

Suzanne is a Charlotte native who moved to River Hills with her husband, Skoochie, 8 years ago. She has a daughter, a son, a daughter-in-law and 4 grandchildren ranging in age from 4-17. Formerly, Susanne was a Physician Assistant (PA) but now spends time creating beautiful commissioned artwork, playing golf and pickleball. She is excited to be joining many of her friends who are already RHWC members!

Ellen has lived in River Hills for twenty years. She and her husband, Jim, have 3 sons. She is originally from Charlotte, specifically Dilworth. She was a RHWC member a while ago but now has the time to enjoy the club.

After having visited the area often as a child, Michelle moved tot he area with her husband, James, less than two years ago. She met James when she was just 19 years old and now shares two adult children, two grandcats and one granddog! She loves to do anything outdoors, especially sports…participating over spectating for sure!

Sue and her husband, Eric, have been in the River Hills area for almost 10 years, making their way here from Cincinnati. They have 2 adult sons. Sue enjoys Pilates, tennis, golf and cooking. She loves a good group of women, leaning new things and having fun!

Isabel made her way to River Hills area by way of Natchez, MS about 1.5 years ago. She likes to garden, hike and participate in social activities. She has 2 sons and a cocker spaniel named Charlie.

Ginger and her husband, Allen, made their way to River Hills from Katy, TX about 2 years ago. Prior to that they lived in Indiana, Tennessee and Illinois. They have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Ginger is looking forward getting involved and meeting !new friends. She enjoys gardening, crafts, walking and shopping!

Mitzi is a new resident of the River Hills community having moved here from Colorado in March of this year! She is a self-described “furniture fashionista” , which sounds intriguing! She grew up in the furniture business so its not surprising that she enjoys interior design. She also loves gardening, dancing and travel. She lives with her partner and has one grandson.

Nancy, who is originally from Charlotte, is a long time resident of River Hills. She has been in the area for 49 years! Nancy is a widow and proud to have 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren! She has lots of friends who are already RHWC members so we are delighted she’ll be joining them and us for some fun!

Alana made her way to River Hills about 2 years ago, hailing originally from New York and Connecticut. She has two children, a son and a daughter and 2 grandchildren. She enjoys reading and writing as well as decorating. She hopes to explore some new interests through her RHWC membership!

Tracy made her way to this area about 5 years ago, relocating from Delaware. She is a retiree, married to Allen, and mom/grandmom to two sons and 2 granddaughters! She is an outdoor oriented person who loves to jetski, hike, boat, and enjoy fresh air. She balances her outside time with indoor activities such as refinishing antiques, reading, painting, puzzles and cards. She’s hoping RHWC will help her find more/new friends and will help to keep her busy. So glad she found us!

Kathy, who is originally from Charlotte, has lived here for 32 years. In retirement, Kathy enjoys painting and theater.

Originally from Massachusetts, Tootsie has been in River Hills for about 20 years. As a long time flight attendant with American Airlines, this location is a great fit. It’s noteworthy that Tootsie is currently #43 in rank amongst all AA flight attendants…a very high rank. In addition to travel, she likes card games and golf.
